You will hear it has the only product of its kind, or it has the best compensation plan ever devised, or get in now while you still can. Watch out for these folks. They are centered on themselves when they should be centered on you. Even if they are centered on you, learn what it is all about. The best MLM opportunity for one person could be a black hole for someone else.

What Does The Best MLM Opportunity Look Like?

How is this opportunity being presented to you? Are they talking upfront income and cash flow or long term residual income? As a potential Network Marketer your main focus should be on residual income. I’m not saying you can’t create a cash flow in this business, but the #1 reason people get involved in the industry is for a consistent, reliable, long term income. That kind of income is a wonderful thing. If the person presenting the company to you doesn’t mention it much, you may want to look elsewhere.

As a Network Marketing opportunity seeker, you should understand that an MLM company does 2 things. They sell products and/or services, and they offer business opportunities to those who are looking to improve their financial situation. That’s all. So when you’re looking for the best MLM opportunity for you, first look at the product or service they offer. Is it something you are comfortable with? Can you get enthusiastic about it? Will you even use it? If you don’t like the product or service, how are you going to be able to promote it? Are the products/services something that people can easily use month after month? The last thing you want to base a long term income on is a fad. Product or service is very important when looking for the best MLM opportunity.

What about the company itself? Take a look at the leadership. What is their track record?  Do they have legal issues? State and Federal regulators are becoming more aggressive in looking at companies that don’t sell products or services outside their own organization. They are also looking at companies that pay a lot up front when people sign up, but not so much when people buy products and services. The compensation plan is important as well, but don’t be overly influenced by a good comp plan with a lousy product. It is actually better to have a great product and an average comp plan. The best MLM opportunity will have good products and a good comp plan. Don’t settle for just one. Don’t forget the person you sign up with, either. Can they lead and train you to be successful? What resources do they have? This is a person you’ll need to work closely with.

You are talking about changing your life here. Relax and make a decision based on reason, not emotion. When looking for the best MLM opportunity, the focus should be on you, not the company or their distributors.
