The name of the business model is Network Marketing (actually, the compensation model is Multi-Level Marketing, or MLM, but call it what you like). You are building a network of people just like you would if you were an attorney or an insurance agent. Never forget that you are building a business through people. The MLM success secret is learning to work with the people in your business.
Here is another part of this MLM success secret. It is why you must be very choosy with those you bring into your business. Don’t accept just anybody. Too many people think successful MLM sponsoring means taking everyone you can. Not a good idea. How much time do you want to waste with your distributors who have no people skills and can’t or won’t build their own network? You will get fooled sometimes, but you should develop the necessary skills to keep your Network Marketing recruiting mistakes to a minimum.
Yet another part of the unknown MLM success secret (relationships) is this: You are not just dealing with business builders for your Network Marketing company; you are developing customers as well. Your Network Marketing company sells a product or service. You need customers. Customers often are not interested in being part of your business, but are happy with your product or service. So there will be 2 types of relationships. The relationship you have with your downline team will be different than the relationship you have with customers. But you will have to nurture both of them.
Your customers will most likely come from your warm market and the referrals you get from them. Much of that contact will be face to face, so it will be a traditional business/customer relationship. This kind of relationship is fairly easy to maintain if you are paying attention. If you’re not paying attention, and begin taking your customers for granted, the relationship will go away – and so will your customers. If you are an Attraction Marketer, much of your downline team will not come from face to face contact. Most of your leads will be generated through your online system. You will have more leads, but it also means that more thought and effort are needed to maintain the relationship. If there really were an “MLM success secret” it would be an Attraction Marketing System. A top Attraction Marketing System should help you maintain your relationships. If you let this slide, your downline will go away. If you lose your customers and your downline team, guess what. You’re not in business anymore.
