Back in the old days – 4 or 5 years ago – finding an MLM sponsor was pretty straightforward. You signed up with the person who showed you the business. It was all pretty much a traditional MLM marketing model back then. Things have changed. Now the Attraction Marketing model is all the rage. You can be sponsored online. In fact, many people join someone in an Attraction Marketing System without ever knowing for sure what MLM company that person represents. This is understandable because there are not many good Attraction Marketing Systems out there, and there are a lot of good MLM companies. Now it is just as likely that you will choose an MLM sponsor as it is that one will choose you.
What Do You Want In An MLM Sponsor?
There are three components to the Network Marketing/MLM business: Marketing, the MLM Company itself, and Leadership. You and your MLM sponsor, or direct upline (the person who brings you into the business) must be on the same page with all three. Like most business relationships, it is a two-way street. Each person must bring something to the table.
Marketing. Recruiting and sponsoring are part of marketing. Do you have an idea how you want to do this? Traditional or 21st century? This is one way to decide how to choose an MLM sponsor. Either way can work, but if your direct upline is an Attraction Marketer, and you are a traditionalist, there could be an issue. In that case your direct upline should be able to find a competent person in his upline to mentor you. If he/she can’t, join with someone else. If you want to market the 21st century way – Attraction Marketing – your upline should be able to plug you into a very good system. This can be called an online MLM Sponsoring System, but it is really more than that. If your potential MLM sponsor can’t plug you in, find someone else who can. Once you’re in a good marketing system, you move through it mostly on your own. The system will allow you to work at your own pace. In this area, you’ll need occasional advice, encouragement and monitoring from your upline.
The MLM Company. Your MLM sponsor will need to be a little more involved here. The company will offer training on products, services, and the back office. The back office is part of your company website that has a bunch of useful information about the company. You should be plugged into everything the company offers. You must know this stuff. Very likely, you will have questions. Your sponsor needs to be there for you. If you know all about marketing, but nothing about your company, you are in trouble. This is part of how MLM works.
Is Your MLM Sponsor A Real Leader?
Leadership. This is where a prospective “MLM sponsor” will let you know if he/she is someone you want to work with. Good Network Marketing leaders are looking for more leaders. This is what creates a successful business. Your prospective upline should begin by finding out about you. If he/she is not interested in you, find someone else. Good Network Marketing leaders don’t take just anybody. Would you take just anybody into your business? I hope not. If he says he will build your downline for you, find someone else. Not a good sign. An MLM sponsor is there to help you, not do your job for you. A prospective upline should be able to tell you exactly how you will be trained. A good MLM sponsor will ask you to set goals and will periodically go over them with you.
These are not exactly MLM sponsoring secrets. Any good MLM sponsor knows all this. The key to your success is hooking up with someone who is able to work with you to become successful. If you want to be an Attraction marketer, go with the leader. Check out the top Attraction Marketing System on the planet.
